  First today we will be looking at what is an inverter , an inverter is any device that converts direct current to alternating current. We have different types of inverter, sinewave, modified sine and square wavewave. 1.sinewave is whatever you get from your local utility company usually a generatorgenerator. Some appliances like motors,microwave ovens require sinewave. 2.
